How to use this template :

The archive includes 2 templates for different ratio of screen :
- One for 4:3 screen ratio : TheDom-HandWriting-TPL_4-3
One for 16:9 screen ratio: TheDom-HandWriting-TPL_16-9

Open the archive and decompress the appropriate template depending on the screen ratio you want (4:3 or 16:9)

Open the template TheDom-HandWriting-TPL_n-n.pte.

  • First step : Modifications to make for the "End" slide (slide #3)

For the following text objects, type your title in the properties  tab. The text has to be exactly the same for those 3 text objects. Use copy/paste to be sure.
- [YOUR TEXT] (White)
- [YOUR TEXT] (Black)
- [YOUR TEXT] (Shadow)

Depending on the length of your title, you might have to change the pan & zoom parameters of the [TEXT TO ADJUST] object.
Select the
4th keypoint of this object and modify the zoom parameter In the Animation tab.
If you title is longer than the original title, you will have to decrease this parameter. Increase this parameter if your title is shorter than the original title.
When you're happy with the size of your title, with your mouse, move the title (remember to select  the
[TEXT TO ADJUST] object) and place it centered, a little bit on the right of the screen.
Then select the
5th keypoint of this object and apply the same zoom parameters as the one you applied to the 4th keypoint.
When it's done, with your mouse, move the title (remember to select the "[TEXT TO ADJUST]" object) and place it centered, a little bit on the left of the screen.
  • Second step : Compose your title

The slides #5 to #62 correspond to the animation of a letter :
- slide # 5 : space
- slides #6 to 31 : a to z
- slides #32 to 57 : A to Z
- slides #58 to #62 : & . , ! ?
Compose your title by copying the appropriate slides and pasting them in the right order between slide #2 (Start) and slide #3 (End).
For
each of those slides you copied, in the Objects and Animation window, choose the [TEXT ON LEFT] object and enter the previous letters of your title.
Let's take an example: if your title is "Animation".
- for slide "A", [TEXT ON LEFT] will be left empty.
- for slide "n", [TEXT ON LEFT] = A
- for slide "i", [TEXT ON LEFT] = An
- for slide "m", [TEXT ON LEFT] = Ani
- for slide "a", [TEXT ON LEFT] = Anim
etc...
You do not have to type all the previous letters. Depending on the width of the letters, the 5 or 6 previous letters should be enough. If a letter is displayed outside of the screen, it means you do not need it. By example, for the title “Claudia & Brendon”, for slide “r”, [TEXT ON LEFT] = & B (char & + char space + char B).

  • Third steps : last adjustements

For the slide corresponding to the first letter of your title (slide #3), in the Objects and Animation window, select the "handwriting-pen" object in the objects list and for the first keypoint, change the pan parameters to the values -6,250 / -15 (instead of -6,250 / -5)

You can now delete all the useless slides following the animation of your title (space, a, b, c ,d, etc…).

Save the pte project as a new file (Save as…).

Convert the animation into an exe or a video.

You can make all the modifications you want and include this effect in your slideshow.

Optional modifications :

You can change the color of the splashes : for slides named "Start" and "End", select successively each of the "Splash" objects and in the Properties tab, change the color.

You can change the texture at the end of the animation and use an other texture or a photography : select the “End” slide and go to the Objects and Animation window.
Select the “
handwriting-texture” image object and in the Properties tab, click on the folder icon (top right) and browse your hard drive to select an other image.
